With a complex design and hard implementation of the civil works this solar park is located in the mountains, on top of Hatsukaichi city, Hiroshima Prefecture. The site measures over 100 hectares where over 2 million m3 of granite and soil were moved just to enable the shaping of the area of the site. Building kilometers of trenches and two ponds that can accumulate over 55.000 m3 of water, make this construction site look very special. It is connected to a 110 kV substation which had been constructed on site.
Hiroshima Project is owned by Saferay GmbH and its realization was possible with the help of NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank that financed the project. Our team was part of the project coordinating the construction, offering technical advice and logistics support for Saferay team.
This solar plant, with a total capacity of 50.8Mwp, will provide around 28.000 people in Japan with electricity and will save approximately 25,660 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
